Commission Tiers:
Portraits
Bust or waist-up illustration of a single character, with a minimal or simple background.
Complex elements like armour or non-human races may incur a higher fee.
Illustration
Detailed illustration with a single character. These can range from a simple standing pose to a carefully composed poster design.
Elements that increase difficulty (such as dynamic poses, backgrounds and intricate character designs) may incur a higher fee.
Cover Design
For a more narrative outcome! Covers are some of my favorite pieces to design, and you're welcome to be as involved in the process as much or as little you like - whether you simply have a story or themes you want to see visualized, or a specific scene you'd like composed and put to paper.
For example, for the Grit and Growing anthology, (which you can find more information on over here) the editing team had their themes set in stone, but no specific imagery regarding the design of the book - so for the design process, I began from an ideation stage with exploratory sketches. With the approval of the editing team, this was then developed to a variety of thumbnail sketches which explore a single visual theme. The editors then chose which of the thumbnails they'd like to be explored further, before finally finishing the process with rough colour explorations and the finalized cover.
Throughout development, I'll be keeping contact with you on a weekly basis to ensure all design considerations fit with your narrative. Please note that logo design and personalized title typography may incur a higher fee.
NOTE: If the cover design will be used for commercial purposes, there will be a commercial licensing fee on top of the commission price. See "terms and service" and "commercial licensing" below.
Character Concepts / Full Visual Development
If you have an existing character design you'd like to have polished reference sheets for, then character concepts might be of interest to you! Options range from turnarounds, action poses, expression sheets, to a basic character reference sheet with a little bit of everything. As with the portrait and illustration tier, the intricacy of the character design (eg. the inclusion of armor, complex structures like wings or steampunk stylings, non-human races) may increase pricing.
Have an idea of a character yet to be realized? We can begin with a full visual development cycle, going from either very broad general sketches or focused sketches around a specific theme or idea, which is then refined to a final design. If there are specific eras or historical fashions you'd like represented, research may increase development time, and thus the pricing will be adjusted accordingly.
Designing multiple characters (eg. an entire party, or a character and their nemesis) can also be negotiated.
NOTE: If the character concepts and designs will be used for commercial purposes, there will be a commercial licensing fee on top of the commission price. See "terms and service" and "commercial licensing" below.

Full Visual Development Cycle
Development time will vary on a case-by-case basis, depending on the clarity/scope of the brief (ie. how broad vs. specific the themes or ideas you'd like explored; how many characters are to be designed) and whether you provide pre-existing design materials, so please ask for a quote directly from me!

Special requirements
Backgrounds / Environments
I adore drawing backgrounds and designing environments, and I'd be eager to chat with you if you have an idea for a scene! However, they take much more time to compose and render - and if the backgrounds are based on specific places or time periods, research itself can also take a lot of time - thus price of the commission will depend on the complexity of the piece.
Multiple Characters
Pricing is calculated by the complexity of the additional character; namely, the posing and the intricacy of their design.
OTHER: Traditional / Mixed Media, Specific Styles, Typographic Design Elements
Traditional / Mixed Media: ink and watercolor textures for that extra handmade touch.
Specific Style: Is there a specific art-style you'd like your character drawn in? If you have a couple of references, I'll give it a go!
Typographic Design Elements: logo designs and personalized type elements may come at an additional fee.
